Expertise
Board
Going Plural? We have a wealth of experience in helping clients strengthen their board membership. And with increased public scrutiny surrounding governance and the role of non-executive directors, the demand for talented directors with strategic acumen and reasoned judgement has spiralled. Chairs in both commercial and non-commercial organisations are looking for people who, in a non-executive capacity, can add real value across a number of dimensions. Our Board Practice works with a broad spectrum of organisations, bringing talent from all over the globe into the boardrooms of our clients.
Functional expertise
We bring an impressive track record of working across functional areas including:
- Corporate communications
- Human resources
- Finance
- IT
- Legal/company secretary
- Marketing
- Operations
- Public Policy
-
Regulatory/government affairs
Diversity
Our work has given us particularly relevant experience of promoting diversity in recruitment campaigns. At the heart of this is a strong commitment to positive action doing all we can to introduce diversity and variety into senior appointments and boards.
Evidence of our success can be seen in the figures we regularly provide for the Cabinet Office. These show our percentages of women, individuals from a BME background and people with disabilities increase from longlist to shortlist stage, confirming that the people we approach and encourage to apply are not recycled to inflate a list but are experienced, credible candidates. Over the last two years, our figures for placed candidates (for senior civil service or OCPA overseen roles) show that an average 12% were from a BME background, 41% were women and 6% had some form of declared disability.
