New Vice Chancellor for University of Cumbria appointed
The University of Cumbria Board has now approved the appointment of Dr Peter McCaffery, currently Pro Vice Chancellor at London South Bank University, as the next Vice Chancellor of the University.
The appointment followed an extensive period of consultation with staff, students, stakeholders and other interested parties. The public advert and search was overseen by a selection committee appointed by the University Board which resulted in the board having a strong and wide ranging field of around fifty candidates to consider.
