Founded in 1701, USPG, the Anglican mission agency, works across the world to help bring about transformation in the lives of individuals and the renewal of church and community life. It works in close partnership with local churches throughout the Anglican Communion supporting a wide range of projects in over 20 countries. Initiatives include tackling gender-based violence and HIV stigma, providing healthcare to remote communities, training for church leaders, empowering excluded minorities and supporting refugees.
USPG is now seeking to appoint a Chair to help lead USPG as it responds to fresh challenges. Ensuring excellent governance and working in close partnership with USPG’s new Chief Executive, the Revd Duncan Dormor, the new Chair will play a key role in shaping the longer term strategic development of the Society. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience of the Anglican Communion, a demonstrable commitment to the Society’s Christian mission and to international development. An excellent communicator, the appointee will have a track record as an effective chair, and in forming productive and collaborative relationships with an executive team and a wide range of stakeholders.
