THE DIFFERENCE IN VALUES AND BEHAVIOURS BETWEEN CORPORATE AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES HR LEADERS
By Saxton Bampfylde
Saxton Bampfylde is delighted to share this study which compares and contrasts the leadership styles of HR Directors employed in professional services and large corporate organisations.
For this study we talked to sixteen senior HR Directors from a mix of these organisations and asked them a range of questions. We then collated and analysed their responses to identify how they lead, solve problems, influence and motivate themselves.
Our objective was to review the leadership styles of HR Directors in the two different types of organisation to establish if any material differences in their motivations and approaches existed.
Ultimately, we hoped to explore the extent to which organisational culture reflects the values and characteristics of HR leaders, and how and when they behave both at their best and under pressure.
We hope that this can inform those appointing or working closely with HR directors, as well as those seeking new roles, about the overall characteristics and operational approaches within these organisations.
