One thing headhunters aren't short of, and that's opinions - and a willingness to share them.

So, in the interests of work-life balance, here are some of our shortlists for consideration at your leisure...

EAT ME

Pickles
Old Queen Street, London SW1
Our local Italian coffee and sandwich shop. Excellent coffee and great for an early morning breakfast bap or lunch on the run.

Indigo
One Aldwych, London W1
A relaxed and informal restaurant in boutique hotel One Aldwych. Overlooking the buzzy Lobby Bar, it serves good modern European cuisine with an interesting range of healthy and organic options. Good for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Amaya
Halkin Arcade, 19 Motcomb Street, London SW1
Good food, great atmosphere and exceptional range of Indian grills under one roof, where the chefs' grill stations are open for all to see. The £35 taster menu is recommended.

Asiate Mandarin Oriental
80 Columbus Circle at 60th St, New York
Our New York partners' favourite restaurant is 35 floors up. Amazing views of Central Park and excellent French-Japanese food.

Ichi-Richi
Stratton Ground, London SW1
Great sushi, great service and the Ichi-Richi special is particularly recommended.

Citron Wellington
270 Willis Street, Wellington, New Zealand
A small and intimate 30-seat restaurant specialising in three- and eight-course set menus using local produce. Our colleagues at Bell McCaw Bampfylde highly recommend a visit.

Mistral
223 Columbus Ave, Boston
The fashionable (and wannabes) go for the bar scene, but foodies will appreciate chef James Mammano's accomplishments in the dining area. The fantastic food is complemented by a wonderful decor: a soaring, vaulted ceiling, sandstone walls, high arched windows and objects d'art from Paris and Provence.
