ACE Programme
Chair

The ACE Programme was launched in January 2020 by former England international cricketer Ebony Rainford-Brent, with support from Surrey County Cricket Club. Developed in response to the 75% decline in Black British professional players and less than 1% representation in the recreational game, ACE engages young people of African and Caribbean heritage through a targeted talent search and nationwide community-driven programmes. Following significant investment from Sport England and continued funding from SCCC, the ACE Programme became an independent charity in November 2020 and has worked with over 30,000 young people across the country thus far.
As ACE approaches its fifth anniversary, the charity seeks a dynamic and visionary Chair to support its strategic growth and help drive its mission forward. As Chair of ACE, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the charity’s strategic direction, fostering growth, and ensuring the successful delivery of the charity’s programmes. Your leadership will help ACE expand its reach and impact while maintaining its core values and mission.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic and experienced board leader who understands good governance and how to contribute to the development and execution of a growth strategy for a dynamic and ambitious charity. They will bring a clear passion for ACE’s mission to widen access and participation in cricket.
