As a leading premium International Schools group ACS meets the needs of global and local students (day and boarding) between the ages of two to 18 at our campuses in the UK and Qatar. Our renowned international programmes and outstanding facilities create an exceptional environment, where the world comes to teach, learn, and grow.
As a fully registered charity our vision and purpose: “through learning inspire all to make a difference” guides our decision-making and strategic development.
ACS International Schools are seeking to appoint a new trustee to join the Board and the People Committee, and also act as the Board level Safeguarding Lead. You will be part of a collegiate and committed Board, acting as a “critical friend” to senior ACS leadership and offering good governance oversight to the organisation. You will have the exciting opportunity to further develop our charitable purpose strategy and programmes during your term.
We are interested in candidates with a corporate background who already have NED/ Trustee experience, have an interest in both supporting and critically challenging the evolution of our people strategy and can add high calibre critical thinking to the wider Board. While previous experience of the charity and/or education sectors, and safeguarding knowledge and expertise is highly valued it is not a prerequisite. Training will be provided in particular for the safeguarding aspect of the role. You will bring an entrepreneurial and inspiring leadership approach to complement the skills of the existing Board. We welcome candidates who can contribute greater diversity of representation and thinking to our Board and be fully aligned to our vision and values of ACS International Schools.
