Founded in 1883, Bromley High School is one of 25 schools of The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) occupying a 25 acre parkland site in leafy Bickley, Kent. It is a selective independent school for girls aged four to eighteen years with 890 pupils aged 4 to 18. The school moved to its current site in the early 1980s and enjoys excellent resources for teaching and learning in all curriculum areas including extensive sports facilities. It is characterised by excellence and is confidently moving towards ever greater success.

The Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and, alongside the Headmistress, will oversee all long-term strategic development and planning for the whole school: including a planned expansion of the primary school. S/He will have responsibility for all non-teaching aspects of the school including: finance and accounting, estate management, administration, catering and cleaning, health and safety and HR. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a committed and dedicated team within one of the GDST’s most successful schools.

Ideal candidates will be educated to degree level and have proven budgetary expertise and financial acumen. They will also be able to show a successful track record of senior management experience, to include strategic planning, financial management and project control. Candidates should also show an interest in education and an enthusiasm for getting involved in the life of the school.
