The School has ambitious plans for the next phase of its’ development and the Governing Body now seeks an outstanding finance and operations professional. The Bursar will be responsible for overseeing finance, operations, commercial, governance, property and HR for the School. The role is appointed by the Board and reports directly to the Head. The Bursar will be a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting into both the Trustees and the Head both to build a shared vision for future development opportunities for the school.

The successful candidate will have significant leadership experience in a complex professional structure, managing, organising, and motivating multi-disciplinary teams to ensure continued operational excellence. Candidates should have a demonstrable ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide variety of colleagues, with the strategic nous and personal gravitas to command the support and confidence of the Governing Body. The successful candidate will have a high level of numeracy with relevant experience in budgeting and financial management, and experience of estates management or capital projects would be desirable, as would a professional qualification in finance or accounting.
