The Citizens Theatre is one of the UK’s most important producing theatres, with a rich history of creating world-class productions that are accessible to all. The iconic company, based in the Gorbals area of Glasgow, has recently embarked on a redevelopment project which will see a major refurbishment of its historic building, planned for completion by the end of 2020.

An exceptionally driven, entrepreneurial and experienced Executive Director / Joint Chief Executive Officer is now sought to work alongside Artistic Director, Dominic Hill. With a proven ability to lead and inspire a senior team, the new Executive Director will bring extensive experience of delivering successful change across a complex organisation.

The appointee will be responsible, with the Artistic Director, for the long-term strategic development of the organisation at this crucial and exciting moment in its history. S/he will oversee the successful operation of the financial and administrative aspects of the organisation and, as Project Director, lead its current redevelopment project to a successful conclusion.
