Crafts Council is the national charity and development agency for contemporary craft in the UK, supporting craft makers and businesses to help them grow, running education and learning programmes, hosting exhibitions, fairs and activities across the UK each year as well as holding the national Crafts Council Collection. Crafts Council believes craft skills and knowledge enrich and uplift us as individuals and can change our world for the better. Through its activities, Crafts Council inspires making, empowers learning and nurtures craft businesses by championing craft and its positive impact on society, increasing levels of craft education and participation, growing the market for craft, and building a sustainable and inclusive craft sector.

Against the backdrop of a new wider reach to connect with communities across the regions of the UK, the organisation is poised to take an exciting next step under new leadership. Ideal candidates will be senior leaders with strong strategic and business planning experience and will be an inspiring team leader and a compelling communicator. Exemplary stakeholder management and ambassadorial skills will also be required, as will a commitment to promoting equality and diversity and a sound understanding of the cultural sector, its challenges and opportunities.
