Cranleigh School
Director of Communications

Cranleigh School is an outstanding co-educational independent school set in 280 acres of the Surrey Hills. With 1,000 pupils across our Senior and Prep Schools, alongside international campuses in Abu Dhabi and China, we are establishing ourselves as one of the UK’s leading independent schools. We are now seeking a Director of Communications to lead our communications strategy. Together with the newly appointed Director of Marketing, this role presents a rare chance to shape and drive a bold and integrated vision for communications at a time of significant momentum and growth.
Working directly with the Head, Sam Price and our senior leadership team, you’ll develop and execute a communications framework that reflects our motto ‘Ex Cultu Robur’ – From Culture comes Strength. You’ll lead on strategic communications, media relations, brand management, and crisis communications while collaborating with our marketing, admissions, and development teams. We’re looking for a communications professional with senior-level experience, strong editorial skills, understanding of mission-driven organisations and a commitment to fantastic independent education for children.
You will join a community where staff build lasting relationships and will be instrumental in shaping the next chapter in Cranleigh’s story. If you’re interested in making an impact at a school that celebrates difference and supports everyone to excel, we’d like to hear from you.
