Education Development Trust (EdDevTrust) is a leading international education charity with over 50 years’ experience across 80 countries working worldwide on education reform projects. We work in five key areas to provide outstanding, sustainable education solutions; these include supporting national level education system reform, school inspection and evaluation, ownership and management of a group of independent schools, English language teaching and careers and employability services.

We are driven by improving outcomes for students around the world and work collaboratively with national and local governments, schools and other partners to deliver and design sustainable solutions that work to scale.   Our work is evidence informed and we invest annually in our own programme of educational research.

EdDev Trust is now seeking an exceptional candidate to join the organisation as its first Director of Marketing and Public Affairs.

This represents an unusually exciting opportunity for an experienced, global, Marketing and Public Affairs specialist to make a real difference to EdDevTrust. They will shape how we are perceived around the world and how we will grow in future. The successful applicant will work closely with the other members of the senior leadership team, external stakeholders such as political and sector leaders, existing and potential clients to optimally position the trust, its research, and its services to continue to improve the education of children and young people throughout the world.

The Director will lead on the development of public affairs, communications, marketing and client relationship strategies and plans that will grow EdDevTrust’s global reputation, its network of clients and resultant future income streams. They will be able to demonstrate experience of working successfully within complex environments, preferably in a multi-national/cultural setting and will relish the opportunity to work in a values driven and collegiate organisation. Travel within the UK and globally will be an essential requirement.
