Chief Information and Technology Officer

Job Reference QAMAZC
Closing Date Monday 01 Nov 2021

The Financial Reporting Council’s (FRC) mission is to serve the public interest by setting high standards of corporate governance, reporting and audit and holding to account those responsible for delivering them. Its work is a cornerstone to public trust and confidence in UK business.

The FRC is underway on a major transformation programme, increasing its impact and influence and building its capability and capacity.  Following the Independent Review into the FRC, the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has accepted the recommendation that FRC should be replaced with a new independent regulator the Audit, Reporting and Governance Authority (ARGA). Under new leadership with a mandate to transform into the ARGA, the FRC has already brought forward many of those recommendations.

The incoming CITO will lead a programme of significant change: determining and putting in place an information, technology, and data strategy and processes that meet the immediate and future needs of ARGA. The role will oversee current IT and data analytics functions to develop a coherent and holistic approach.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader who has a track record of leading IT teams or departments through change, and experience providing strong governance and processes. They will be excited about working in an environment undergoing a period of transformation.
