Since launching its Frankfurt tradeshow in 2003, IMEX has enjoyed strong growth and a high level of recognition throughout the industry, and in 2011, opened a second annual tradeshow in Las Vegas to respond to demand in the US market.

Every year over 10,000 professionals representing 150+ countries attend its events and IMEX has become a recognised brand and respected market leader that frequently advocates for the industry, and leads the way with its extensive and high quality education programmes, industry partnerships and approach to sustainability and DEI.

IMEX is now looking to appoint an exceptional new Chief Marketing Officer. He/she will provide the vision, strategy and leadership for the IMEX Group’s key marketing, communication and content functions. This role will oversee and direct the Group’s brand, messaging, product (event) marketing, demand generation and content; including the delivery of educational content at the IMEX tradeshows. The CMO will be responsible for ensuring that the output of these functions is aligned to strategic business objectives and, as a key part of the senior management team, will have an integral role in setting these ongoing objectives as well as company strategy. Success will be measured through the ability of these core functions to expand the reach and authority of the IMEX brand and ultimately deliver more buyers to IMEX events.

Entrepreneurial in style, ideal candidates will be passionate advocates for building an approachable, agile and empowered culture. He/she will bring at least 10 years of well-rounded marketing experience with a record creating strong organic demand generation programmes. He/she will offer extensive knowledge in a variety of marketing disciplines such as strategic communications, event/ product marketing, content production and martech. Broad business skills including strategy, IT, data, legal and finance are also desired for this C-level candidate.
