The Board of Governors of Lady Eleanor Holles School is seeking to appoint a Chair of Governors on the retirement of the current incumbent after many years of dedicated service. The junior and senior schools between them educate over 930 pupils across a 24 acre site. This is a substantial entity, with a turnover of £17m, mainly derived from fee income.

The Chair is non-executive but critical to the ongoing success of the school, working closely with the Head Mistress and providing leadership to the board of governors who have overarching responsibility for the strategic and financial direction of the school, and their effective governance.

Applications are welcomed from those with senior leadership experience, who have experience of operating at board level. Prior non-executive and chairing experience are highly desirable. This is a great opportunity for someone who recognizes the value of independent education and who is excited about being involved in a high performing, thriving and dynamic educational environment which has the development and welfare of children and young people at its core.

Saxton Bampfylde Ltd is acting as an employment agency advisor to Lady Eleanor Holles School on this appointment.
