Magnox Ltd manages the decommissioning of 12 nuclear facilities and their waste around the UK.  It will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority from September 2019.

Magnox will be governed by its own board, consisting of a Chair and a mix of non-executive and executive members. The Chair will play a critical role in the successful creation of the new business and ensure that the Board provides clear direction and effective oversight to the organisation during a period of significant transition and change.

Candidates will bring significant board-level experience with strong leadership and strategic skills and a proven ability to influence and work with a wide variety of stakeholders. Experience in both the procurement and management of major contracts is desirable, for example, major multi-site infrastructure programmes in rail, construction, energy, nuclear, or oil and gas, along with skills in leading change across highly complex and high hazard environments.
