At some point in our lives, everyone will be affected by dying, death and bereavement and Marie Curie is dedicated to ensuring that people get the end of life experience they deserve. Everything we do – from providing expert care, practical information and emotional support to funding ground-breaking research and advocating for change – helps people approaching the end of their lives, and their loved ones, make the most of the time they have together. The global COVID-19 pandemic has heightened public appreciation of this issue and presents a real opportunity for us to make a step-change in our impact.
We are now seeking a Chair of the Investment Committee who will serve as a trustee on the Marie Curie board and contribute investment expertise and insight as we develop a new strategic approach which will guide us for the coming years and to ensure financial stability into the longer term.
The Chair of the Investment Committee will consider, agree and recommend to the Board for implementation an investment strategy and liaise with the appointed Fund Managers and Investment advisors. They will give advice to the Board on the approval of the Investment Strategy and ensure compliance with investment policies. In addition to their role of Chair of the Investment Committee, the successful candidate will serve as a trustee on the board and bring an authentic desire to contribute to board matters more widely.
