Market Operator Services Limited (MOSL) is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of a new and growing business water market, which opened in 2017 and for the first time allows 1.2 million small businesses, public sector bodies and not-for-profit organisations in England to choose who supplies their services. Its central IT system supports over 3,600 users and processes 85,000 transactions per day.

The new Chief Executive will be joining at a critical time for MOSL as it looks to deliver quick and tangible improvements on how the market operates. Harnessing new technology and creativity, they will set out and articulate a visionary and innovative strategy, and engaging effectively with stakeholders externally and internally to build confidence in MOSL and the market.

Candidates should be excited by the prospect of managing transformational change to deliver outstanding and innovative industry outcomes. A proven strategic leader in regulated organisations of comparable complexity, the successful candidate will have the drive and resilience to take MOSL forward. Politically sensitive and highly collaborative, the Chief Executive will be an excellent communicator, with a track record of building strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder landscape, internally and externally,  including the Government, regulator and industry, and delivering beneficial change.
