Trustee

Job Reference UAFMN
Closing Date Wednesday 02 Jan 2019

MHA is a charity providing care, accommodation and support services for older people throughout Britain.  MHA is one of the most well respected care providers in the sector and amongst the largest charities in Britain, providing services to older people for almost 75 years.  With income of over £200m per year, we provide residential care, retirement communities and community schemes to over 17,000 older people.  We work with over 7,000 dedicated staff, enhanced by the commitment of 5,500 volunteers. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for older people, inspired by Christian concern.

We now seek to appoint a new Trustee who can offer specific knowledge and experience of IT, technology and digital to support MHA in harnessing information and technology to achieve its vision and objectives. The successful candidate will have had experience of leadership of information management and technology in organisations of comparable size and complexity. She or he will ideally bring experience of non-executive leadership, and the capacity to convey a vision and to communicate clearly and compellingly about technology to non-technology experts, as well as being sympathetic to MHA’s distinctive Christian heritage.  Operational experience which is relevant to our work would be an advantage.

Reflecting the diverse communities that we are proud to serve, MHA is very much committed to widening the diversity of its leadership and board. We actively and warmly encourage applications therefore from a broad and deep range of backgrounds and experiences.
