MHA (Methodist Homes) is one of the UK’s largest charitable care providers, with a rich heritage spanning over 80 years. We deliver high-quality care, accommodation, and support to over 18,000 older people across the country through care homes, retirement living, and community services. Guided by our values and a commitment to nurturing mind, body, and spirit, we aim to inspire the best care and wellbeing at every stage of later life. Supported by charitable giving, we offer specialist services such as music therapy and pastoral care, ensuring a fulfilling experience for our residents and members.

As a Trustee, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of MHA, working closely with fellow Trustees and the Executive Leadership Team to uphold our mission and values. Your responsibilities will include attending board meetings, serving on sub-committees, contributing to policy development, and ensuring effective governance, risk management, and financial stewardship. You will also be encouraged to visit MHA services to gain a deeper understanding of our impact. This is a voluntary position with reasonable expenses covered, requiring a time commitment of approximately 12-18 days per year.

We are seeking values-driven leaders with integrity and a passion for improving later life. Ideal candidates will have skills or experience in areas such as financial management, property, or strategic marketing, though applications from a rich range of backgrounds are welcomed. Commitment to MHA’s values and a belief in the importance of ending isolation and loneliness for older people are essential. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise to a respected organisation and make a meaningful difference. Interested in helping us shape the future of care? Apply here….
