MHA
ARC Committee Member

MHA (Methodist Homes) is one of the UK’s largest charitable care providers, supporting over 18,000 older people through care homes, retirement living, and community services. With a proud 80-year heritage, MHA is a values-driven organisation committed to nurturing mind, body, and spirit. Our mission is to help people live later life well, supported by high-quality services, innovative care strategies, and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
We are seeking an independent committee member to join our Audit and Risk Committee, a vital part of MHA’s governance structure. This role involves providing independent scrutiny of our audit and risk environment, reviewing financial statements, external and internal audits, risk management, and compliance. You will bring an impartial perspective, challenge the executive team constructively, and support the development of our strategic risk framework to ensure robust governance. This is a voluntary role with meetings primarily held online, complemented by one in-person session annually.
We invite applications from values-led individuals with expertise in regulated environments, particularly within housing or adult social care. Experience in risk identification and mitigation is essential, along with strong ethical leadership and a commitment to MHA’s mission. Prior service on an Audit and Risk Committee is desirable but not essential. MHA is dedicated to diversity and warmly encourages candidates from varied backgrounds to apply.
If you are ready to bring your expertise to a well-respected charity making a real difference, apply now!
