As the University’s Chief Executive and senior academic officer, the Vice-Chancellor is responsible for the leadership, management and financial stewardship of the University accountable to the Board of Governors. They will provide strategic vision that is compelling, clear and ambitious, and will shape, develop and deliver the University’s strategy to 2031, Knowledge into Action. The Vice-Chancellor will enable an environment where all members of our community can thrive and achieve their full potential.

We are looking for an exceptional individual with an outstanding track record of strategic, dynamic, collaborative and emotionally intelligent leadership at a senior level in a multi-faceted and complex environment. The new Vice-Chancellor will be an inclusive, inspiring and highly visible leader internally across our three campuses alongside a persuasive advocate for the University externally. They will share our commitment to transformative education, widening access and equality, diversity and inclusion. Financial and commercial acumen alongside a robust understanding of the issues facing higher education at present are highly desirable attributes.
