Mountview is one of the UK’s leading and most inclusive drama schools, discovering and training the most talented students for the international stage and screen. From acting to backstage specialisms, Mountview offers the highest standards of intensive vocational training from a new purpose-built home. At any one time, over 70% of long-running West End shows feature Mountview graduates and in 2018, 95% of the school’s BA graduates were working in the industry within a year. In 2018 Mountview opened the doors to its new state of the art home in Peckham, at the heart of one of the most exciting areas of London. The new building includes two theatres, TV studios, recording facilities and over 20 dance and drama studios. Mountview has created a unique new model drama school, a home for the highest quality vocational training, alongside community programmes and spaces for the professional industry.

Mountview firmly believes that no talent should be overlooked and that a person’s circumstances should never be a barrier to participating in the activity of the school. Mountview works with partner organisations to scout for talent nationwide, helping to break down perceived financial and geographical barriers to participation and investing over £500,000 a year in financial support for prospective and successful students.

Following the completion of this exceptional journey to a new home Mountview’s joint Chief Executives are planning to step down this year. Mountview are now seeking candidates for the role of Chief Executive and Artistic Director. This role will lead the organisation, overseeing the delivery and development of world class vocational training in the performing arts, a contemporary outward facing programme of work in Mountview’s two theatres, an exceptional offering for young people and adults from the local community, and commercial activity that not only underpins the financial model but cements Mountview’s links to the industry.

Candidates will ideally bring a track record of successful leadership at a senior level in the cultural or educational sector. They will be a strategic leader with financial and business planning experience. Partnership building skills and the ability to be a compelling ambassador and advocate will be critical.
