Plan International UK is looking for an exceptional individual to take on the role of Chair of Trustees. This is an opportunity to make a real difference, helping to shape the future of an organisation that plays a vital role in the global fight for equality for girls and advancing children’s rights.

Plan International UK is a UK-registered charity with an annual income of £75m. It is a key member of the Plan International global family, which operates in over 80 countries to build a future where every child is safe and receives an education. In the last year, the Plan family reached 43 million children through 1,400 active projects.

Our next Chair of Trustees will play a pivotal role in applying their skills, experience, expertise and networks to ensure that Plan International UK delivers its purpose and strategy, has robust governance supporting a secure future, and is positively engaged with a wide range of national and international stakeholders.

We are seeking an exceptional Chair who will bring dynamic, inspirational and inclusive leadership to the role. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a soundtrack record of organisational governance and chairing experience, strong skills around stakeholder engagement and income generation and passionate about advancing Plan International UK’s mission to champion children’s rights and equality for girls. An understanding of the international development/humanitarian sector is desirable but not a pre-requisite. If you share our values, possess the skills, experience, and passion to lead Plan International UK in its mission, we would love to hear from you.
