CEO

Job Reference UALAPE
Closing Date Friday 17 Sep 2021

Whilst many men live long and well after a diagnosis of prostate cancer, many others see their lives seriously impacted by side effects or cut short. Prostate Cancer UK is working to change that, with a clear vision of a future where lives are not limited by prostate cancer. We unite the brightest minds in science and healthcare and the most passionate and caring people to help men live long and live well. The futures of thousands of men across the UK depend on what we do in the next few years, and we need to increase the size and power of our movement to be able to address the issue. Over the next few years, our priorities are:

• Get men diagnosed earlier
• Get men diagnosed more accurately
• Get better treatments and ensure men can access them
• Get better support for men and their families

We are looking for a passionate, driven, values-led new CEO with strategic vision, direction and inspirational leadership to work with our 180 employees and 1400 volunteers, ensuring continued growth in income and successful delivery of our organisational ambition. As an ambassador for the charity, you will build strong external relationships which enable the charity to be highly influential within Government, the national and devolved health services, the UK, and international research community, as well as across the voluntary and commercial sectors.

Reflecting the diverse communities that Prostate Cancer UK is proud to support, we are committed to finding a CEO who is dedicated to furthering diversity and inclusion within the charity. We actively and warmly encourage applications therefore from a broad and deep range of backgrounds and experiences.
