This is the opportunity to play a leading role in one of the country’s leading academic schools; Queen Elizabeth’s Barnet blends a distinctive heritage and proud traditions with an innovative, forward-looking approach to providing a state education like no other to 1,250 boys aged 11-18. The Deputy Head (Operations)/COO is involved in all areas of school life but has overall responsibility for the smooth-functioning and excellence of the School’s support functions. Overseeing matters relating to administration, admissions, estates, finance, health and safety, and legal and regulatory compliance, they are expected to provide inspiring leadership to a diverse range of staff. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of providing excellent operational delivery across a comparable, diverse portfolio. We are looking for an adept manager with strong commercial acumen and experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams. Candidates will be assessed on their understanding of effective business and financial management, including risk management.
