The Governing Body of Queens’ College, one of the 31 constituent colleges of the University of Cambridge, is seeking a new President to take up office from October 2020.

The College wishes to appoint a President (i.e. Head of College) with a distinguished record of achievement, either in academia or elsewhere, who will command the respect of the Fellowship and others. The appointed candidate will have the ability to engage effectively with the College community and build consensus through a collegial leadership style, whilst demonstrating a sense of vision as to the College’s future.

The appointed candidate will promote and strengthen all aspects of College life, ensuring that members can grow academically and personally to their fullest. Candidates must be sympathetic to the distinctive values, ethos and aims of Queens’ College. He or she will have a strong understanding of the modern academic environment and the specific requirements of a collegiate university.
