St Giles Trust

Director of Internal Operations

Job Reference NBDSC
Closing Date Tuesday 11 Oct 2022

We want to see a society where everybody – no matter what their background – has a positive future.

St Giles is a charity using expertise and real-life past experiences to empower people who are not getting the help they need, people who are hard to engage because they have been failed time and time again – held back by poverty, exploited, abused, dealing with addiction or mental health problems, caught up in crime or a combination of these issues and others.

We show people there is a way to build a better future – for themselves and those they care about – and help them create this through support, advice and training.

As St Giles Trust has grown and become more complex as a charity, there is a growing need to appoint a Director of Internal Operations to help us further develop and professionalise our processes, and ensure that the infrastructure of our organisation runs smoothly, effectively and efficiently for all our teams and staff, enabling their practical needs to be met and for them to thrive.

We are looking for someone who is resourceful, adaptable and commercially astute and brings experience of risk and process change management, strong understanding of good governance, and ideally a legal background.

Empathy with, and an interest in the charity’s work is a pre-requisite – we are looking for someone passionate about and committed to St Giles Trust’s services and people.

As a charity proudly working with diverse communities across the UK, and with staff teams to reflect these communities, we are committed to doing our utmost to support inclusion and positive community relations. We welcome and encourage applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
