St Mungo’s is at the forefront of efforts to tackle homelessness. At the heart of all of our services is our commitment to empowering individuals, to supporting people in their journey away from homelessness and to preventing homelessness in the future. With more than 1,500 staff and 1,000 volunteers, and support provided to more than 3,000 people on any given night, we are one of the largest homelessness charities in the UK and our services reach across London and the South and South West of England.
We believe that rough sleeping can be ended and our ambitious new five year strategy sets this as a target for us, and our work with partners, from now through to 2026.
We are now looking to appoint a new Trustee to the Board with a proven, senior leadership profile who will bring their commercial and financial skills, credibility and insight to an already strong Board, and a passionate staff team.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate an understanding of strategic leadership and governance in a substantial and complex service businesses. Previous non-executive experience is desirable but not essential. We will look forward to appointing someone with a real enthusiasm for our mission and social purpose, and a determination to make a meaningful and long-term commitment to St Mungo’s and to the wider sector.
