CEO

Job Reference XACAUA
Closing Date Wednesday 09 Jan 2019

The Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre (DNRC) project is a remarkable initiative by the Sixth Duke of Westminster to build what is likely to be one of the world’s best clinical rehabilitation centres for the armed forces and the general population. The brand new state-of-the-art facility in the East Midlands will bring together and develop cutting edge research, treatment and clinical rehabilitation for injured service men and women and for the nation.

In June 2018, with the initial phase of construction complete, the Defence facility was handed over to the nation and brought to life as its first patients moved in. In a landmark development, a further £70m in funding has been secured from central government to fund the DNRC to enable and facilitate the next phase of the project to develop the National facility.

Following the successful leadership of General Sir Timothy Granville-Chapman, who steps down in 2019, the DNRC now seeks to appoint its first CEO to lead its work in the coming years and develop a sustainable model for the charity and its principal asset, the Stanford Hall Rehabilitation Estate.

We are looking for an exceptional leader who shares the vision of the DNRC, with the energy, enthusiasm and intellect to turn the idea of a National facility into reality. Relationships with Government will continue to be critically important, so candidates will be adept at working with Government and will bring a strong understanding of the way in which NHS healthcare is commissioned and delivered. The successful candidate is likely to be an existing Chief Executive or equivalent, who is highly skilled at managing stakeholder relationships in a complex environment and brings strong communications skills and leadership qualities that inspire and motivate others. Experience of the non-profit and health sectors would be highly beneficial.

Saxton Bampfylde Ltd is acting as an employment agency advisor to the DNRC on this appointment.  For further information about the role, including details about how to apply, please visit www.saxbam.com/appointments using reference XACAUA.  Alternatively telephone +44 (0)20 7227 0880 (during office hours).  Applications should be received by noon on Wednesday 9th January.
