With an ambitious agenda for the future, the University is seeking to augment the senior leadership team with the appointment of a dynamic academic leader as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC). This role will be right at the heart of the University’s aspirations bringing new skills, new perspectives, and new drive to deliver our new strategy. The successful candidate will take a lead role in academic delivery of the new institutional strategy and will be expected to deputise for the Vice-Chancellor across all areas of activity. In addition to this, they will have responsibility for overseeing culture and inclusion within the University and wider external engagement, including enterprise and corporate relations.

The appointed candidate will be an exceptional academic leader with proven senior leadership experience and vision. They will have a thorough knowledge of the major issues impacting the sector and have the strategic capability and knowledge to contribute to institutional policy development. An ability to work at pace and thrive in an ever-changing environment will be vital; as well as an inclusive approach to leadership and a commitment to high performance and continuous improvement. Candidates will be able to demonstrate sophisticated stakeholder management skills and excellent communication abilities.
