The University is now seeking a new Dean of Science and Engineering to lead a School focused on addressing global societal challenges and developing life-changing technologies. We have world-leading areas of research-intensity and are ranked 1st in the UK for Biomedical Engineering. Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost, the new Dean will build upon the School’s success and realise the significant potential for growth. Working in partnership you will continue to drive forward teaching excellence and student outcomes, partnerships and opportunities, with a keen focus on real world impact, research and engagement.

We are looking for an exceptional and ambitious academic leader to provide vision and empowering leadership to the School. They will have a proven track record in change leadership, ability to make a contribution at a strategic level and bring a focus on excellence in teaching, research and engagement. Importantly, you will understand people and what great leadership looks like, and the value of demonstrating leadership behaviours by role modelling them. You will act as an ambassador for the School, driving positive change and growth.
