Closing Date Thursday 28 Sep 2023

Woldingham is a leading Catholic day and boarding school for girls aged 11 to 18. Set in 700 acres of stunning Surrey countryside, the School’s mission, underpinned by Sacred Heart values, is to provide an outstanding educational experience that empowers women to change the world. Around 600 students receive a first-class academic and pastoral education in a forward-looking and warm school community where they are supported to become confident, compassionate and courageous young women.

The Governing Board of Woldingham is looking to appoint an inspirational and collaborative Head who will lead the School into its next chapter. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work with the Board and Senior Leadership Team to define a vision for Woldingham’s future and continue to develop its position as a school that is pioneering in its provision of an all-rounded education in a kind and nurturing environment. They will immerse themselves in the day to day life of the school, leading from the front, as well as enabling leaders across the organisation to develop and lead.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who has intellectual calibre and credibility, and who can secure the full engagement of all pupils, staff, parents and other stakeholders in the delivery of the School’s aims. A champion of girls’ education, the Head will work with the Board and colleagues across the school community to develop and deliver an ambitious vision and strategic plan that positions the school well for a long-term, sustainable future. They will be an exceptional ambassador and advocate for the School, with a strong commitment to the School’s ethos and values.
