Augusta Bunting Deputy Head of Board Practice

Augusta is Deputy Head of our board practice and, as well as search, she leads the firm’s board reviews and governance advisory work. With thirteen years of experience within the firm, she has a deep understanding of the leadership dynamics required at the highest levels of an organisation. Her work spans senior executive and non-executive search, partnering with clients across the commercial, public, and non-profit sectors where purpose and complexity are central.

Augusta’s perspective is informed by an international career in executive search, and this global outlook allows her to support clients in thinking creatively about the transfer of skills across different sectors and geographies. As the lead for board reviews at Saxton Bampfylde, Augusta advises boards on their collective effectiveness, composition, and dynamics. By combining her search expertise with a specialist understanding of how boards function as a unit, she provides a holistic perspective on leadership and organisational health. Her approach is grounded in the belief that strong governance is the cornerstone of any organisation seeking to make a meaningful difference to society. She holds a first-class Masters degree from the University of Auckland.
