Jo Ogilvy Consultant

Jo has more than 20 years’ experience, the majority of which has been gained at Saxton Bampfylde, where she has focussed on organisations with children and young people at their heart. Her clients have spanned our social impact, commercial, regulatory and education practices, and she led our Schools Practice for a number of years.

Today, she is a senior consultant in the firm, with a significant depth of experience advising on senior leadership, academic and corporate services roles both here, and overseas. She continues to be driven by the challenge of truly getting under the skin of organisations, their people and priorities, and how best to bring this to life for prospective candidates. She is as interested in understanding candidates’ motivation and approach, as she is their experience, recognising that the ‘how’ and the ‘why’ are often as much a predictor of success as the ‘what’. The reward comes from knowing that when there is a connection between client and candidate, the beneficiaries are children and young people, along with the opportunity to build relationships that are for the long term.

Jo has a degree in Classics from the University of Oxford, and has been a governor of schools across a range of settings.
