The most important things in leadership are rarely the loudest. Judgement, humility, and how someone treats people when it’s difficult - that’s what I’m always listening for.”

Kate Ludlow CEO & Consultant

Kate is Chief Executive Officer of Saxton Bampfylde. She leads the firm with a steady hand and a long view, shaped by more than fifteen years inside the partnership and a deep understanding of how leadership decisions play out over time.

Alongside her role as CEO, Kate remains closely involved in client work. She advises on executive and non-executive appointments across the private sector, with particular focus on legal and professional services and family-owned businesses – sectors where judgement, trust, and cultural fit matter as much as technical capability.

She has played an active role in the firm’s governance, having been twice elected to the Trustee Board, and brings an international perspective shaped by time working with the firm’s partner office in Vancouver.

Kate is drawn to purpose-led organisations and to work that goes beyond placement – helping clients think carefully about values, culture, and the kind of leadership their organisation truly needs. She holds a degree in Music from Cambridge University and is a Trustee of London Youth Choirs.
