We are delighted to congratulate Chris Simpson on his appointment as Bursar at Albyn School. Located in Aberdeen, Albyn is one of Scotland’s leading independent schools, educating boys and girls ages 2 – 18. Chris succeeds Kelly MacKay after five years of outstanding service, and took up post in July ahead of the 2022 – 2023 academic year.

Chris has had a varied career, working in senior finance roles across a wide range of industries. After earning an MA in Economics and Economic Science from the University of Aberdeen, Chris joined RBS as a Senior Analyst. He went on to work as Financial Controller for Aberdeen Standard Investments, and then as Director of Finance & Corporate Services for Aberdeen Performing Arts. A long-time Aberdeen local, he joins Albyn from his role as Group Finance Manager at Fifth Ring, a global B2B marketing and communications agency.

We wish Chris the best of luck in his new role.
