Saxton Bampfylde was delighted to work with Downe House on the appointment of their new Deputy Head, Matthew Godfrey. Matthew joins Downe House from Caterham School, where he has held the role of Deputy Head since 2013.

Matthew studied Psychology at Durham University before going on to earn his PGCE at the University of London Institute of Education. Matthew brings a successful teaching and leadership track record in HMC schools, as well as strong experience of external relations and pupil recruitment.

Downe House looks forward to welcoming Matthew in September 2021.
