Hexagon Housing Association’s Board has announced that after 22 years as Chief Executive, Tom McCormack will be retiring in June 2022.
Tom said:
“It has been a fantastic privilege to serve as the Hexagon Chief Executive over many years. I will approach my planned retirement secure in the knowledge that we have a fantastic staff team, a highly focused Board, and sound finances that will all provide a solid foundation for our new Chief Executive to work with our Board to build a great future for all our residents.”
The Board have now completed the appointment process and are pleased to announce that Sheron Carter will be succeeding Tom this summer.
Simon Fanshawe, Hexagon’s Chair said:
“Hexagon is at an exciting point in its life as we continue to find even better ways to meet our ambitions to develop new homes for people excluded from much of the housing market in South East London, enhance our repairs service to tenants, and develop the best customer service we can at the same time as striving to do everything we can to ensure people are safe in their homes. Sheron is a highly experienced senior member of the sector. She has the track record and the vision to lead Hexagon to meet these challenges. Our thanks go to Tom who retires as Chief Exec, having led Hexagon with a sure hand, clear vision and given us the stability from which to continue our journey.”
Sheron said:
“I am delighted at the prospect of leading Hexagon Housing Association. Hexagon is a great organisation with a strong commitment to communities in South London. As we move past the worst effects of the pandemic and brace ourselves for the instability created by world events, Hexagon can be an anchor offering hope, stability, and opportunity. Hexagon has a simple ambition to offer efficient and well-maintained homes, modern and responsive customer services and to provide a safe place for people in need of support. We have capacity for growth and the drive to do more. I look forward to working with the board, staff and residents as we embark on this exciting journey.”
