
Emma Haddad will join St Mungo’s as its Chief Executive in November, 2022.
Emma brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge in supporting people who have been displaced and marginalised and will join from central Government where, since February 2021, she has been responsible for housing for asylum seekers and refugees, in particular refugee resettlement from Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine, working as the Director General for Asylum and Protection.
Prior to this Emma was Director General for Service Excellence in the Department for Work and Pensions where she led delivery of child maintenance, pensions, and disputes and appeals, as well as transformation of services across the whole department. Previously she was Director of working age benefits.
Emma spent much of her early career in European and international migration policy, working with EU partners on the migration and asylum agenda. She has a doctorate in forced migration and international relations from the London School of Economics.
