
The Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs, and Culture has announced the appointment of George Walker as Ofcom Board Member for Scotland, effective 1 March 2026 to 28 February 2030.
George brings extensive experience in regulation, governance, and consumer protection, including roles as Senior Independent Director at The Pensions Regulator and Chair of Social Investment Scotland. He has a particular interest in online safety and digital regulation.
George said he was delighted to be joining Ofcom at such a significant time for the regulator, and looks forward to delivering good outcomes for people and businesses across Scotland.
