After more than a decade in this work, it’s still the variety and the impact that matter. No two organisations are the same, and helping them find leaders who can navigate complexity and deliver real results is endlessly rewarding.”

Alex Richmond Head of Health Practice

Alex leads the Healthcare Practice at Saxton Bampfylde and brings more than thirteen years’ experience within the partnership. His work spans senior executive and non-executive appointments across healthcare and life sciences, working with organisations across the public, private, and voluntary sectors where purpose, complexity, and public impact are central.

Alongside his client work, Alex plays an active role in the firm’s governance. He sits on Saxton Bampfylde’s Trustee Board, helping to oversee the business and ensure it remains aligned with its employee-owned model and long-term values. His perspective is shaped by extensive exposure to mission-driven organisations operating in highly regulated and politically sensitive environments.

Alex is particularly drawn to work that sits at the intersection of strategy, leadership, and service to communities, supporting clients to think carefully about the kind of leadership required to navigate change while remaining grounded in purpose. He holds a degree in History from the University of Cambridge and, outside of Saxton Bampfylde, serves on the Families and Communities Panel for the Games Rating Authority.
