Emanuela Tarizzo has been selected as the new Director of Frieze Masters, taking over the role in April 2025. The art adviser and former Tomasso Gallery Director will lead the upcoming fair, scheduled for October 15-19 2025, in London’s Regent’s Park.
Succeeding Nathan Clements-Gillespie, Emanuela brings extensive experience in historical art, having worked as an independent adviser and Director at Tomasso, a gallery specialising in Old Masters and European sculpture. Her appointment comes at a critical time for Frieze, which is presently being considered for sale by its owner, Endeavor.
Emanuela said:
“I am honoured to join Frieze Masters at such a pivotal time. From its inception, the fair has stood out for its innovative narrative—one that invites fresh perspectives on historical art and dialogue with contemporary audiences. Rooted in London, a city with a truly international outlook and a longstanding reputation as a centre for expertise, Frieze Masters continues to be a dynamic meeting point for collectors, curators and galleries. I look forward to building on that founding vision as we shape the fair’s distinctive identity.”
