Peter Denton appointed to chair Cambridge Biomedical Campus

Peter Denton, who previously served as chief executive of both Homes England and The Hyde Group, has taken on the role of chair at Cambridge Biomedical Campus Limited.

With over three decades of experience across Europe, Peter’s career spans senior positions at organisations including Starwood Capital Group, CREFC Europe and BNP Paribas. He currently serves as a senior adviser to Oval Real Estate and sits on the real estate investment committee at Eurazeo.

Regarding his recent appointment, Peter said: “The Cambridge Biomedical Campus presents a unique opportunity to deliver economic growth and health innovation. But we need to ensure that this happens in a way that keeps the Campus both globally competitive and locally sustainable.

“It’s also about ensuring that it facilitates the scientific collaboration and partnership which creates opportunities for the next great scientific breakthroughs which will improve health globally.

“We want to build and maintain a world class place; one of which local people and Cambridge can be proud, and is the best possible place to visit, work and live beside. CBC Ltd can be a strong voice in shaping that.”

Peter was awarded a CBE in 2025 in recognition of his contributions to housing and major urban regeneration. He is also a qualified accountant.
