Micro:bit Educational Foundation appoints new Chair

Niresh Rajah joins Micro:bit Educational Foundation bringing more than 20 years' leadership experience in data, AI and digital transformation.

Saxton Bampfylde is pleased to have supported the appointment of Niresh Rajah as Board Chair at the Micro:bit Educational Foundation.

Niresh brings more than 20 years’ leadership experience across data, artificial intelligence and digital transformation. He has held senior roles at Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, Danske Bank, DLA Piper and Grant Thornton.

Alongside his executive career, Niresh holds non-executive director and board advisory roles. He is an Associate Fellow and Innovation Expert at Oxford University, and an Honorary Practice Fellow for AI, Data & Digital at Imperial College.

On joining the Foundation, Niresh said: “Having spent my career working at the intersection of technology, data, AI and education, I’m excited to join the Foundation. As Chair, I hope to help accelerate that global impact, build new partnerships, and ensure the next generation develops not only technical skills, but the creativity, curiosity and confidence to lead the future.”
