Established in 2012 and supported by UK aid, FSD Africa is a specialist development agency working to build and strengthen financial markets across sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). It aims to address the structural, underlying causes of poverty by improving how financial market systems function. Its programmes are designed to address systemic challenges within Africa’s financial markets, with the aim of sparking large-scale and long-term change.
FSD Africa is now looking for a Director, Credit Markets to lead the market intervention pillar on credit market development across SSA. Acting as a thought leader in African Credit Market development, you will drive both pro-poor and pro-investment innovation and strengthen the regulatory environment, developing the strategy for the Credit Markets pillar, leading the implementation of the Credit Market programmes, and driving the transformation of Credit Market Systems through effective influencing, advocacy and communication.
With a profound understanding of the drivers of inclusive economic growth in Africa, you will bring experience of working in a pioneering environment to identify, engage and empower key implementing partners. With a strong understanding of the constraints to, and opportunities for, the development of SSA credit market systems, you will also have a track record of managing relationships and influencing key stakeholders at a regional and national level, and of developing and implementing strategy.
