The Barratt Foundation

The Barratt Foundation was launched by Barratt Developments PLC (“Barratt”) in 2021 to co-ordinate and focus its charitable activities and improve the impact of its support for local and national charities throughout the communities in which it operates.

Our grants currently consist of numerous small donations to local charities, as well as larger amounts to national charities through partnerships that support the themes of promoting social inclusion; helping the environment and nature; promoting physical and mental health; and advancing education. Currently, we are delighted to be working with The Outward Bound Trust, Whizz Kidz and Sheffield Hallam University. Across all our work we look to involve Barratt employees as much as possible.

We are funded by Barratt, we encourage Barratt Employees to give their time and expertise to causes they feel passionately about and we want to make sure we are contributing positively to the communities we work in.

We have a friendly and enthusiastic Board of Trustees, comprising 4 company executives and 2 independents. We would now like to recruit an additional independent Trustee to help us with the next stage of our development, including selecting new charity partners and refining our strategy.

We want our board to reflect the communities we work in and we would welcome applications for this role from a range of backgrounds.
