Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust

Director of People Strategy and Transformation

Job Reference AAGTE
Closing Date Wednesday 10 Sep 2025 (Now Expired)

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS FT is shaping the future of healthcare with a bold 2030 vision: better, faster, fairer healthcare for all. Recognised among the world’s best hospitals and at the global forefront of clinical innovation, we are redefining what world-class care looks like—bringing together translational research, robotics, AI, genomics, and digital health to deliver earlier diagnoses, smarter treatments, and care closer to home.

The NHS’s 10-Year Health Plan calls for a radical shift: moving care out of hospital, harnessing digital, and focusing on prevention. We are uniquely positioned to lead this change, with the expertise, partnerships, and innovation culture to design new models of care. Our diverse patient population, cutting-edge research infrastructure, and world-leading clinicians provide the ideal platform to create services that are more personal, equitable, and sustainable, with the opportunity to impact health systems far beyond our own.

We are now seeking a visionary Director of People Strategy and Transformation to drive change from strategy to frontline delivery. You will craft and execute a workforce strategy that matches the scale of our clinical ambitions, building a diverse, agile, highly engaged, and future-ready team, while ensuring it translates into tangible improvements in how we work every day. As both architect and implementer of organisational change, you will embed inclusion, modernise workforce planning, and introduce innovative development pathways that unlock the potential of our people. This is your opportunity to shape the way healthcare is delivered, and influence national policy in practice, at one of the NHS’s most forward-thinking trusts.

We are looking for a senior leader with significant experience delivering workforce and organisational transformation in large and complex settings. You will have expertise across workforce strategy, organisational development and design, talent, and EDI, and a track record of driving impactful change. A visible and credible leader, you will influence at Board level, engage senior colleagues, and build strong partnerships. Politically astute, resilient, and an excellent communicator, you will thrive in complex environments, championing innovation, continuous improvement, and organisational values.
