Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation
CFO
For over 500 years, Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation has been a constant presence in London’s ever-changing landscape. Today, our mission is to build the foundations of a healthier society – supporting communities in Lambeth and Southwark, funding innovation across the NHS, and addressing health inequalities that affect millions. In 2023/24, we committed £37.7 million to improving health, from cutting-edge cancer treatments to pioneering gene therapies for children.
We are now seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the Foundation’s future. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead our Finance and Legal functions, provide strategic oversight of financial management, procurement, and charitable funding operations, while working closely with our Endowment and NHS Charities’ fundraising teams. This is a unique opportunity to ensure our long-term financial sustainability and help guide one of the UK’s most significant independent foundations through its next chapter.
Commercially astute, hands-on, and values-driven, you will bring a strong track record of managing complex finances at scale, ideally across charitable funding, fundraising, or mission-driven organisations. Alongside financial acumen and strategic vision, you will demonstrate inclusive leadership and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including Trustees, senior partners, and external audiences.
Above all, you will share our vision of a fairer, healthier society.
If you are inspired by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, we would be delighted to hear from you.
